I specialize in turning perfectly good bar stock, springs, and other metal objects into scrap metal. However, I'm slowly getting worse at it and occasionally create something worth keeping and sharing.
My Background
I began my blacksmithing journey in 2015. I had built a wooden chest and on a whim decided to fabricate the hinges, hasp, and decorative parts myself.
Ancestral Roots
My family left Beinhöfen in Bohemia and came to Cleveland in the 1880's. They settled on Sackett Avenue, eventually owning several homes there as the young adults married and started their own families.

Cleveland Metalwork
On arriving in Cleveland, the men of the family went to work in the various steelyards and casting plants in the flats. Several of the women found work in the textile industry. The name Beinhöfen Forge is a tribute to their origins and transition from agricultural work to industrial steel production.
